This ESI database was produced by FWRI staff by combining the ESI data from the NW Peninsula, SW Peninsula, Panhandle, South and East Florida ESI databases. This statewide ESI dataset includes five merged datasets, each representing a different region of Florida. The Panhandle data was created in 2024, followed by the South Florida dataset in 2013. The Southwest Peninsular dataset dates back to 2016, and the Northwest Peninsular data was created in 2017. The East Florida dataset was finalized in 2020. Biological polygon layers in this service contain only the polygons intersecting the ESI index for performance enhancement for online applications.
