An inventory of facilities, infrastructure and locations providing storage and essential services for small craft within coastal and inland Florida. Facilities and infrastructure can include docks, piers, wharves, marinas, dry storage houses, boat yards, mooring fields and anchorages. Emphasizing recreational boating, the inventory recognizes that many facilities serve varying ratios of both recreational and commercial vessels. Commercial facilities are also included as commercial vessels are a significant component of the overall community of vessels plying Florida waters. Data was compiled during the course of 15 years through remote means including Google Earth, Microsoft Bing Maps, county property appraiser databases, and web searches. The inventory attempts to describe an array of descriptive attributes for these facilities, such as capacity and basic amenities.
