<abstract>This dataset contains point locations for fish attractors in Florida. Fish attractors are structures that provide protection for fish, as well as other species that fish feed on. The shapefile is used as the source data for the Fish Attractor Finder web application available on the FWRI website. </abstract>

<procdesc>An Excel spreadsheet containing the coordinates for the updated fish attractor locations was processed to insure smooth transition into ArcMap. It was then imported into ArcMap, displayed as XY values, and the data were then exported to a shapefile. To insure consistency with existing fish attractor data, an empty feature class was created containing the correct schema and projection. The updated data were then imported into the new feature class. </procdesc>
