To reduce the likelihood of ship strikes of the endangered North Atlantic right whale, recommended two-way shipping lanes near major ports on the U.S. Atlantic coast were designed and first implemented in 2006. These data represent recommended lanes in the southeastern US for vessels traveling into or out of the Florida ports of Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach or at Brunswick harbor, Georgia from November to April. The recommended lanes for the port of Brunswick, Georgia were updated in November of 2012. These data reflect the updated route for Brunswick, GA.

",
