snippet: The Biscayne National Park Map Merge Project aimed to clip a portion of the original PhotoScience Inc. map from 2009 to the BISC boundary. This shapefile was then merged with an offshore map produced by Avineon in 2008 and modified by the South Florida / Caribbean Network (SFCN) of the National Park Service (NPS) in 2011. The merged product is a complete map of the benthic habitats within BISC. The publisher also clipped the vegetation map produced by the SFCN and Florida International University in 2013. This product is complementary to the benthic habitat map, and together the two products provide a map of the ecosystems present in BISC. Origin: National Park Service; original publication date: 03/06/2013.
