Overview
The WQPP supports research and special studies to investigate further immediate and emerging ecological pressures and threats to sanctuary waters. Special studies funded by the EPA’s South Florida Program are short in duration (1-3 years) and designed to answer one or more targeted questions to further the understanding of issues and factors influencing water quality in South Florida. Each year, the WQPP recommends priority topic areas for funding, to be considered in conjunction with the appropriations language provided by Congress. A funded projects dashboard is available through the EPA South Florida Program website.
